Travel insurance policies contain conditions, exclusions and limits that affect what is covered. Common exclusions include: travel to destinations subject to a "Do Not Travel" advisory issued by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs at the time of travel; claims arising from pre-existing medical conditions not declared and accepted at the time of purchase; participation in certain adventure or high-risk activities unless additional cover has been selected; and cancellation due to government travel restrictions (including Covid-19 related restrictions ).
Single-trip policies only provide cover for the specific trip declared at the time of purchase. Annual multi-trip policies cover multiple trips within a 12-month period, subject to any per-trip duration limits stated in your policy.
Personal belongings claims are subject to per-item and total limits. High-value items such as cameras, laptops or jewellery may not be fully covered unless specifically declared.
You are required to answer all questions honestly at the time of purchase. Failure to disclose relevant information, including pre-existing medical conditions, may affect the validity of your cover.
