Age Is Not A Barrier

Too many insurers make it difficult – or impossible – to get travel insurance as you get older. We think that’s wrong.

At Peopl., there is no upper age limit on our single-trip travel insurance. If you’re aged 66 or over, you can be covered for trips of up to 31 days. For annual multi-trip, Platinum cover is available up to age 75 and Gold up to age 65.

Tailored Protection

As we get older, medical cover becomes more important than ever. Our Platinum tier offers up to €10 million in emergency medical expenses with no excess – giving you the highest level of protection if something happens abroad. Please note that personal accident benefits are capped at €5,000 (all benefits combined) for those over 66.

All policies include 24/7 emergency assistance on +353 91 545 914, so no matter where you are or what time it is, help is a phone call away. This includes liaising with hospitals, arranging repatriation, and providing support throughout your claim. Note that winter sports cover is not available for those aged over 65.

Is there an age limit on over 60s travel insurance?

Single trip cover from Peopl has no upper age limit, on both Gold and Platinum so your age is no barrier to getting covered. Annual multi-trip cover is available up to age 75 on Platinum.

Does travel insurance for over 60s cover pre-existing medical conditions?

Yes , pre-existing conditions can be covered, but they must be declared to Peopl and accepted in writing before you travel. Any condition that isn’t declared won’t be covered.

When should I buy travel insurance for over 60s?

As soon as you book your trip. Cancellation cover starts the moment you buy your policy, so buying early means you’re protected if you need to cancel before you travel.

Why is travel insurance important for senior citizens?

Medical emergencies abroad can be expensive, and older travellers are more likely to need assistance. A policy covers emergency treatment, repatriation and 24-hour support, so an unexpected event doesn’t lead to large out-of-pocket costs.

What is senior citizen travel insurance?

Senior citizen travel insurance is travel cover designed for older travellers, protecting against medical emergencies, cancellation, lost baggage and travel delays. With Peopl, single trip cover has no upper age limit.
